I know it is just you and me Ma, but I am ok with it. Just turned the convention on (cspan). I just have always loved the signs with the state names and the delegates sitting together. I don't know why, I just do. I remember them from Reagen in 84. That and the four more years chant.
Update @ 7:05p...Michelle Malkin has a good timeline of that rules vote mess found here.
Update @ 7:07p...Am now watching the undead corpses of the Oak Ridge Boys sing Amazing Grace. Look horrible, sound fantastic.
Update @ 8:00p...Playing catch up, just put Grace to bed. Kasich is killing it! Interesting posts here, the Brietbart crew is live blogging about the media's coverage of the convention. Seriously Ma, check that link. CNN is cutting away from the swing state Gov's speeches (OH, VA, WI) to hurricane coverage and commercials. Fasinating.
I think I'm in. Glad you're carrying on the Caulkins legacy of paying attention, loving conservatism, and loving America. I remember the convention of '64 as my first and i remember the near riots of '68. Love the state roll calls and the pride people have in their states. True dat on the Oak Ridge Boys but I bet the dems don't even know the words to Amazing Grace. Loved Mia Love's speech - black mayor of Saratoga Springs Utah. I saw it live and thought what a talent. Now she's the buzz on drudge n on twitter. The great Scott Walker is speaking. Awesome! Getting sick of the "we built it" theme, however. Glad Walker stayed away from it.
ReplyDeleteI'm on the Breitbart link. It's a good one. I'm on cspan. Also following twitter on my ipad. Loving it.
ReplyDeleteYou are way ahead of me, on Bob McDonnell now. Agreed on the WE BUILT IT infomercials. WE GOT IT.
ReplyDeleteI missed the Love speech, I will have to watch it tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteJust finished catching up on the breitbart posts. Sickening beyond belief. Santorum just started talking. Itching for Ann Romney. Christie will be awesome. Love speech is short and worth watching. They do an "at home" video on her, too. Family, husband, etc. Keep your eye on her. She's running for Congress. Wonder if she's Mormon.
ReplyDeleteLove is a Mormon, converted, just read the WSJ blog on her speech
ReplyDeleteScott Walker is a good speaker, but his speech was a not that great.
ReplyDeleteSantorum is killing me. So glad he didn't get the nomination. I'm over him. Just don't like his speech. Cliches. Using his daughter again and overdoing the symbolism of "hands." Puh-lease. Let's get on to Christie.
ReplyDeleteYea. His speech wasn't that great and pretty short, but he wasn't making it about HIM. Santorum is. Hate that! BTW, I'm live.
ReplyDeleteDid you know that Kasich lost his teleprompter? He was winging much of that.
ReplyDeleteWay behind, not going to finish it tonight. I have to go work out and then to bed, I work at 6a. I will watch Ann and Christie tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAmazing on Kasich, I picked him up half way through, I thought he was great. On Sandoval now.
ReplyDeleteI think Santorum is fine; family, education, and hard work. Mitt Romney was spoken well of.
