Debate Wrap Up

Ron Paul - The mothership is calling, they need you back right away

Rick Santorum - The kid brother who is out after Florida, if not South Carolina, won't really be missed

Mitt Romney - Have you ever been on a long road trip where your radio is broken and you only have one CD, and it's a decent CD mind you, but after about the 4th time through it you are just sick of it? Well I'm Mitt Romney and I want to be your next President ....thank you

Newt Gingrich - Just won South Carolina, back in it.

CNN - A few hiccups, but easily the best debate so far.

Rick Perry - Just lost in a debate with his wife on if they should stop at Chili's or Carlos O'Kelly's on the way home to Texas

Ma with the best line:

Yea, Mitt just started his closing and I'm yawning. He couldn't inspire me to eat chocolate.

Katie's wrap up from the comment section:

Paul - Who cares.

Newt - Needs to go on a diet.

Romney - Pathetic ending. Pathetic. Blah, Blah, Blah - tell us something NEW and INSPIRING. He's so uninspiring.

Santorum - Brat who needs spanked. You are not as good as you think.

Debate Wrap up

Sorry, my laptop will not let me into the comment section of the blog. Mom and I had to IM the debate on yahoo messenger. I will have to come up with a fix before the next one. Ok, time for the wrap up.

Perry-3 note mouth breather, time to go home to your casa and don't be afraid of the SPF80 Wrinkly McGoo

Paul-Freaking nutjob from planet Xanex where everyone loves and respects everyone and gets along (seriously, I do not get him)

Santorum-Trying so hard to act tough like Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry but comes off as Colombo

Romney-Trying to talk to you in Presidential way, but he just ends up talking at you.

Gingrich-The slightly abusive significant other, draws me in, drives me away, but keeps bringing me back to him. Easily his best night and drew me back to him, though I know and fear he will do something to drive me away again.

Fox News-Trying too hard to be "fair and balanced" and just came off terrible. "Look, we can be tough with them too by asking stupid, inane, pointless, and inconsequential questions."

Juan Williams-Poured out a 40 for all his minority homies he placated to tonight. Please NPR, take him back. I was expecting him to don a do-rag and gold chains half way through the debate.

Whoa

I'm behind you all but:

1. Love the crowd, except when they cheer for Perry because he's still a fool. But I guess anyone can look good in South Carolina.

2. They are SWINGING at Romney. Nice.

3. So far my previous post still stands.

Whom You Prefer All Depends on Your Point of Déjà Vu

From the Morning Jolt...spot on.

"I'm thinking of a Republican primary. It starts with a candidate (John McCain/Mitt Romney) who ran once before, came in second place, and won over the party's elite class without winning over its base. Other candidates, understandably unwilling to accept this, line up: An under-funded social conservative (Mike Huckabee/Rick Santorum), an elder statesman who's walked to the altar three times (Rudy Giuliani/Newt Gingrich), a libertarian who wants to bring back the gold standard (Ron Paul/Ron Paul).
The conservative base is displeased. In the year before the primary, it pines for a perfect candidate. At the end of summer, on (September 5/August 13), it gets him: (Fred Thompson/Rick Perry). The dream candidate immediately rises to the top of national polls, but collapses after lazy, distaff debate performances. When the primaries arrive, he's in single digits and reduced to attacking the front-runners. But in Iowa, he does just well enough to justify staying in the race.

The Republican base looks at the wreckage and shudders. It can never allow this to happen ever again."
