Terry said...Jobs Jobs Jobs opens. Nice, but how many can you create is an idiotic part of the question. They could say 5 trillion and it wouldn't matter
Well, Diane IS weird, but I do like that she saluted them. That seemed genuine. I was dinking around. You're ahead of me. I agree on the death tax. Newt was specific, specific, specific on the jobs questions. Romney's answers were broad and vague. Yup, he's orange.
Glad we're down two - Huntsman and Cain. More time for the others to answer. I have no idea what Perry could do to win me over. Raise the dead maybe? I am about ready to fast forward through his answers. His ads here in Iowa are awful.
Not really. Romney hs just paired it down from his 54 points. He was always harping on his 54 or 50 point plan. Now it's 7. I don't think it was a hit. He was still vague.
Terry said...Newt again with the verbal punches. Slams Romney, crowd boos, but I loved it. The only reason he is not a "career politician" is he lost to Kennedy. The truth hurts
You're reading my mind about Newt. Wait for it. Newt's going to unload in a minute. Romney was doing fine when he started his answer and focused on Obama and then George baited him again and he took the bait.
Romney tried a rif on the "I knew John Kennedy" line. Wasn''t that the Quayle V.P. debate? Can't remember the old guy's name who delivered the line. Shut up Perry. Go back to Texas.
Romney is making as ass of himself. $10,000 bet? Really. He's trying hard, but we have known all along that Romnycare was and is his albatross. Just wait until Obama gets his chops on Romney about that.
Yea, she was on a roll, but they slammed it back in her face. Bachmann IS a consistant conservative, she's right on that. Santorum is fighting for her votes in Iowa. That's is all that is about. He needs to finish ahead of her, so he's taking her on.
They're gunning for the evangelical vote in Iowa. A high percentage of caucus goers are evangelicals, even though the state as a whole isn't necessarily that conservative. Perry is a prick. God help him if there are any skeletons of any kind in his closet. He's the type of guy who makes evangelicals look bad. Can you imagine a conversation like this 50 or 60 years ago? Reference my earlier post. Do we really have to spend this much time on infidelity? Move on!!!!!!!!!!!
This whole evangelical/born again thing was a big deal when Carter was running. Really. A lot of Christians thought they should jump on that bandwagon. Just being religious didn't translate to good president. The guy they keep showing is her husband.
I don't hate Newt's answer on immigration. But every single bit of the discussion on immigration is MOOT unless and until the borders are secured. They should refuse to talk about anything but that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Perry looks like an idiot. I think he's trying to think. It's hurting him. Bush looked like a guy you'd want to have a beer with. I'd want to throw a beer in Perry's face.
Okay, I am agreeing with Perry now on immigration. Enforce the laws that are on the books.
I can't believe Gingrich said that about the Palestinians being an invented people. HE'S RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEA FOR HIM!!!!!!! I love this part. Shut up Paul.
And that is exactly what is wrong with Romney. Newt was clear. Romney is trying to be the nice guy. I am now officially done with Romney. Seriously. I am done with Romney. Gingrich is now smacking down Romney. This issue alone should be enough for ALL of us to go with Gingrich. He could not be more right. Quit calling him Bebe. Really Mitt. I can't stand him now.
Terry said...Now it becomes the who knew Bebe longer game. Romney is floundering....first time he is really challenged in a debate. Newt goes all Regean with the evil empire reference. Killing it.
Terry said...Rush had an interesting take on Romney. In primaries most play to the party to win a nomination and then move to the middle to win the general. Romney somehow decided he was going to play the middle and live there from the beginning. Not going to work.
Liberalism is on full display in the moderators of this debate. Stephanopoulus is less annoying, but a liberal premise underlies most of the questions asked.
There are serious problems in this country, and this debate didn't give the candidates the opportunity to advance the answers to them in a meaningful way. I will support Romney if he's the candidate, but I am no longer wondering about him. Diane Sawyer is horrible.
Romney- Babbling, mushy oompa loopa Newt-Still smarter than the rest of you, deal with it Bachman-Throwing haymakers and "WIN WIN WIN" is going to be a loser-loser-loser Santorum-I reviewed a map of Iowa before I got up here. Paul-Scary, dangerous, genius, frightening, and scary (especially if he goes 3rd party) Perry-Squinty McStammer Huntsman-Best debate ever (yup, recycling that) Cain-Morbidly curious to what his Palestine answer would have been
Love your wrap up. Love it. Yea, that last Bachmann line told me all I need to know about why people don't support her. If Paul goes third party, Obama wins and we move to a compound with our food, our guns, and our Bibles. Loved your name for Perry. Hysterical. Watching the follow up comments - they're right - the $10,000 bet comment shows Romney as a silver spoon guy. I'm calling is right here. Gingrich will be the candidate.
I also have to say that when Romney threw out that bet line, I gringed. It was startling and stupid and I knew that it would not play well in Iowa - or anywhere for that matter.
Terry said: Ready to go...and begin
ReplyDeleteTerry said...doubtful it is anyone but mom and i so sorry we started early
ReplyDeleteTerry said...No Huntsman?
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Diane Sawyer salutes them, how nice. I like they show the behind the scenes clock.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Jobs Jobs Jobs opens. Nice, but how many can you create is an idiotic part of the question. They could say 5 trillion and it wouldn't matter
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Newt abolishing the death tax permanently, AMEN
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Mitt looks orange or is just me?
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Diane needs to get off the number/timeframe thing. Dumb, anyone can make up numbers...
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Rick Perry just refered to himself in the third person, I hate that.
ReplyDeleteWell, Diane IS weird, but I do like that she saluted them. That seemed genuine. I was dinking around. You're ahead of me. I agree on the death tax. Newt was specific, specific, specific on the jobs questions. Romney's answers were broad and vague. Yup, he's orange.

ReplyDeleteTerry said...jumping back to Romney's 7 point plan...think he was making Perry look bad when he couldn't remeber 3 things?
ReplyDeleteI'm at Santorum.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...How many Iowa places can Santorum mention. He is all in in Iowa
ReplyDeleteNot really. Romney hs just paired it down from his 54 points. He was always harping on his 54 or 50 point plan. Now it's 7. I don't think it was a hit. He was still vague.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Fremont County. Caught that right away. It might play well in Fremont County, but I'm not impressed, and I'm sure the nation isn't.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Shut up Diane, good comeback Santorum.
ReplyDeleteSantorum should sack his bats. He won't do well.
ReplyDeleteI mean Santorum won't do well in the caucus. I like what he says. Diane Sawyer - what? Going for an Oscar? a Pulitzer? She's annoying.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Bachman hammering Obama, the cupboard is bare
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Romney made a funny, Obama's golf grip...canned line
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Oh Lord, Paul is talking foriegn policy. It hurts me to listen
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Only one answer by Newt so far. Are they freezing him out?
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Romney is bombing, disagrees with Newt but when asked he opens with a moon base? What the hell?
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Newt again with the verbal punches. Slams Romney, crowd boos, but I loved it. The only reason he is not a "career politician" is he lost to Kennedy. The truth hurts
ReplyDeleteYou're reading my mind about Newt. Wait for it. Newt's going to unload in a minute. Romney was doing fine when he started his answer and focused on Obama and then George baited him again and he took the bait.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Romney is sputtering, less canidates makes for better debates.
ReplyDeleteOh God, I love his answer about kids working in school. Hell yes. My brother washed dishes in the cafeteria to pay for his lunches for years!
ReplyDeleteTerry said...It is the beat up on Newt portion of the debate. Gotta waylay the front runner
ReplyDeleteTerry - just picture this debate: Gingrich vs. Obama. Gingrich will have him crying.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...amen, Obama would say "uh-uh-uh" more than all other words combined
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Bachman also went 3rd person. She is going down swinging
ReplyDeleteI'm behind you again.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Newt called her "Michelle" and also a liar. Feisty.
ReplyDeleteI'm still on Paul's answer.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Romney is responding to Bachman, let me know when you are there.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I liked her Mitt/Newt diatribe. Newt calling her Michelle was only fair.
ReplyDeleteI mean she was calling them Newt-Romney. Kinda dumb. I'm at Romney now.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Yeah, she has to stand out...running 4th/5th means she has to make a move
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Romney still orange
ReplyDeleteRomney tried a rif on the "I knew John Kennedy" line. Wasn''t that the Quayle V.P. debate? Can't remember the old guy's name who delivered the line. Shut up Perry. Go back to Texas.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Perry is brutal, but right. Romney wishes Obama would have called him, but still won't admit Romneycare was a mistake
ReplyDeleteI like a lot of what Bachmann says, but there's something about her people don't like. Not sure what it is. Too many gaffes?
ReplyDeleteTerry said.... it was the Quayle debate. What's his face from Texas, something Benson
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Rick and Mitt going at it again. Just awkward
ReplyDeleteRomney is making as ass of himself. $10,000 bet? Really. He's trying hard, but we have known all along that Romnycare was and is his albatross. Just wait until Obama gets his chops on Romney about that.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Santorum and Paul in Siberia with Huntsman. They have not had a word in edge wise. The Newt Romney monster just slammed Bachman
ReplyDeleteWatch it Rick. You didn't win your own seat last election. Yea, it was Benson.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Yup, I think Obama wants Romney. Rush said that is what Occupy Wall Street was about. Romney is/was a Wall Streeter
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Bachman's second reference to 40,000 people to D.C. LOOK I'M A TEA PARTIER!!!!
ReplyDeleteYea, she was on a roll, but they slammed it back in her face. Bachmann IS a consistant conservative, she's right on that. Santorum is fighting for her votes in Iowa. That's is all that is about. He needs to finish ahead of her, so he's taking her on.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Values, family, faith....yup they are gunning for Newt.
ReplyDeleteTerry said....Perry's verbal punches against Newt seem more like cheap shots. Works in Texas, not nationally. I don't remember Bush seeming this bad.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Paul's 25% genius is on display. The oath of office reference is right on. It's the 75% wackadoo part that is a killer.
ReplyDeleteThey're gunning for the evangelical vote in Iowa.
ReplyDeleteTerry said..."Loan the presidency" and the shot of Newt's wife. Yup, move on.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Shut up Diane
ReplyDeleteThis whole evangelical/born again thing was a big deal when Carter was running. Really. A lot of Christians thought they should jump on that bandwagon. Just being religious didn't translate to good president. The guy they keep showing is her husband.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Shut up Diane. Shut. the. hell. up. I hope they all ignore what she just said.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Shut up Diane. Newt is talking legality, not citizenship.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Look for Perry squinting at Romney. Is that a Texas thing? Squinting?
ReplyDeleteI don't hate Newt's answer on immigration. But every single bit of the discussion on immigration is MOOT unless and until the borders are secured. They should refuse to talk about anything but that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTerry said agreed....Wow they skipped Santorum, Paul, and Bachman on immigration
ReplyDeletePerry looks like an idiot. I think he's trying to think. It's hurting him. Bush looked like a guy you'd want to have a beer with. I'd want to throw a beer in Perry's face.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I am agreeing with Perry now on immigration. Enforce the laws that are on the books.
Terry said...Newt is nailing on the mid-east. We could say apples are good and they would take offense and fuel the next bin ladens
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Gingrich said that about the Palestinians being an invented people. HE'S RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEA FOR HIM!!!!!!! I love this part. Shut up Paul.
ReplyDeleteI would vote for Gingrich just for his stance on the Middle East. Stephanopoulus is a typical liberal. Smack him down Newt! Go Newt!
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Romney tries to walk back Newt's comments for Newt. And Newt just shakes his head no. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAnd that is exactly what is wrong with Romney.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Now it becomes the who knew Bebe longer game. Romney is floundering....first time he is really challenged in a debate. Newt goes all Regean with the evil empire reference. Killing it.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Paul has to be having an stroke while listening to this.
ReplyDeleteI have never felt this way about anything Romney has said so far in all the debates, but I absolutely cannot stand Romney now.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's why Ron Paul is not only dumb but dangerous.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Rush had an interesting take on Romney. In primaries most play to the party to win a nomination and then move to the middle to win the general. Romney somehow decided he was going to play the middle and live there from the beginning. Not going to work.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Perry punts on the Palestine question, he has no idea.
ReplyDeleteKudos to Rick Perry on that on.
ReplyDeleteI liked Perry's answer. He put the whole thing back on Obama. I was good with it.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...meh on Perry.
ReplyDeleteOh God, I can't believe the next dipshit question. Can you feel our pain?
ReplyDeleteTerry said...SHUT UP DIANE. She is now the rules nazi after the last 45 minute row they let play out. SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNow Perry's back to being dumb. Let's play "top my sob story." It's MEANINGLESS!!!!! Dumb question.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...agreed, dumb question. Meaningless. Really want to fastforward. But Santorum is making a point about the loss of the family structure.
ReplyDeleteYea, you served your church overseas, Mitt, because you had to. I'm so done with orange guy.
ReplyDeleteTerry said....GOD SHUT UP DIANE, SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTerry said....Paul's 25% genius just showed up again.
ReplyDeleteShe is so incredibly full of herself.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see her moderating a debate involving Chris Christie. Yes, I agree. Ron Paul is great here.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SHUT UP DIANE.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...The last question is also dumb. Give shout outs to each other. Weak.
ReplyDeleteLiberalism is on full display in the moderators of this debate. Stephanopoulus is less annoying, but a liberal premise underlies most of the questions asked.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...Newt throws out the Iowa bone, but does so in a smoother way then the others.
ReplyDeleteThere are serious problems in this country, and this debate didn't give the candidates the opportunity to advance the answers to them in a meaningful way. I will support Romney if he's the candidate, but I am no longer wondering about him. Diane Sawyer is horrible.
ReplyDeleteTerry said...done, ready for the wrap up.
ReplyDeleteRomney- Babbling, mushy oompa loopa
Newt-Still smarter than the rest of you, deal with it
Bachman-Throwing haymakers and "WIN WIN WIN" is going to be a loser-loser-loser
Santorum-I reviewed a map of Iowa before I got up here.
Paul-Scary, dangerous, genius, frightening, and scary (especially if he goes 3rd party)
Perry-Squinty McStammer
Huntsman-Best debate ever (yup, recycling that)
Cain-Morbidly curious to what his Palestine answer would have been
Love your wrap up. Love it. Yea, that last Bachmann line told me all I need to know about why people don't support her.
