8 Votes
Eight votes in Iowa gave Mitt Romney a sweep of Iowa and NH. That hasn't happened since 1976. So even though Iowa was basically a statistical tie, just as in sports, a win is a win is a win. I just listened to Romney's victory speech. He has evidently hired a new speech writer. It was a great speech, light years better than his Iowa victory speech. Regardless of the results tonight, there are three viable candidates: Romney, Santorum, and Gingrich. Paul, Perry, and Hunstman have no chance. Gingrich and Santorum and Paul are splitting the conservative vote. Paul won't be getting out any time soon. Looks like Mitt is on a roll. The nomination is his to lose.

Well I can get on the Romney train but I absolutely cannot get on the Santorum train. He's not for me. If he takes it by some miracle then I will write in a vote for President of the United States for the first and probably only time in my life.
ReplyDeleteMitt is the front runner, no doubt. But let's not crown him yet. 120,000 Republicans voted in Iowa and 250,000 "Republicans" in New Hampshire. That is about 370,000 votes out of millions and millions left to be cast.
ReplyDeleteThat said I am back to not liking anyone. Newt is now attacking Romney from the LEFT after his I like to fire people comment (one I agreed with). Dumb, dumb, dumb. Newt's ads could be sponsered by Obama they are that sad. I am afraid to say in 2012 I will be casting my vote against Obama instead of for the Republican nominee. 2008 all over again, I voted against Obama and really for McCain. I just hope that is enough this time.
Sorry, the last line should read "I cast my vote against Obama rather than for McCain"
