- We are all just animals on a planet, smart animals, but animals nonetheless
- The borders of countries and states are imaginary constructs set to define a geographical area in which a particular "government" claims the exclusive right to use force (collect taxes, set laws, etc.). Borders don't physically exist. Let's call the people "cattle" and the borders the "tax farm"
- Governments don't like "illegal" immigration into their tax farm as it throws of the balance of the amount of taxes they collect to the amount of services they provide. That is, they have some of their cattle on the tax farm who don't provide any labor (i.e., taxes) but still eat the feed (services)
- Solution: stop extracting labor from your tax cattle and stop feeding your tax cattle, and you care not a shit who lives within your imaginary borders
That is all
Then we call all sing "This land is your land, this land is my land" and be happy. Why it is just that easy, no boarders and we would all get along. We would share our stuff, they would share there stuff. Genius.
ReplyDeleteWho is we?
ReplyDeleteBut are we all the same animal? Think Animal Farm. We are sheep, and hogs, and cattle, and rats, etc. Sometimes a bunch of big old cattle want to trample the sheep. Borders. Or a mean old bull is in charge of a bunch of cattle in one area and wants more area for himself and his cows. Solution - fences/borders. And arm the cattle.
ReplyDeleteAll animals are created equal, but some are more equal than others.
ReplyDeleteAnd borders are not and should not be imaginary, I don't care if they are personal or geopolitical. No to the open borders society...NO NO NO.
