First Wisconsin and now Indiana. Watch what's going on there with the unions. Daniels wants to make union dues optional for private sector jobs. The democrats in the legislature have left the building because if they show up, the vote will most assuredly go against them. Another case of "I don't like what might happen so I'm not going to play." It's absurd. And sickening. Unions are up in arms and threatening to"occupy" the Super Bowl. Go ahead. See how that goes over.
It is all about the money. Pre-Scott Walker the union dues were automatically deducted from the checks of the state workers by the state and given to the unions. Post-Scott Walker the unions actually have to go out and collect, the workers have to physically write that check out to them. Needless to say, that did not go over well. People will not pay it now they really see what the dues are and have to manually pay it. The state supported shakedown ended in WI and that is why they are fighting. They don't care about the workers, they care about the money.
